A little machine. A page of your own. Platen brings the feeling of a typewriter to your iPhone: textured paper, imperfect ink, mechanical sounds and a capsule that follows your words. Write letters, capture thoughts and enjoy a quieter place to write. Choose flat or curved paper, your type size and margins, adjust ink darkness and keep corrections as crossed-out letters or erase them cleanly. Long-press the capsule for night writing, then adjust the lamp’s warmth, intensity and beam. Find notes with search and monthly groups. Recover them from Recently Deleted, export a backup or enable optional iCloud synchronization with the same Apple Account. Start free with three active notes and the original writing setup. Platen Studio is an optional one-time purchase for more notes, paper choices, capsule styles, rail finishes, gardens, additional sounds and print-ready A4, US Letter and A5 sheets. No subscription. All future Studio features included. Each note supports up to 3,000 characters, including spaces and line breaks, in both the free edition and Platen Studio. Made by Rafikki Studio. Better for Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and safer for everyone's writing. • Chinese, Japanese and Korean: the paper stays curved while you compose, characters are never cut off at the top, Traditional Chinese shows every character, and punctuation, menus and translations read naturally. • Your words are safer: what you write is saved while a word is still being composed and every few seconds while you type without stopping. • A damaged file can no longer hide your notes or stop backup and iCloud for the others. • The large widget at night: the lamp's glow now fades smoothly into the glowing ink. • A letter too long for one keepsake now tells you why. Thank you for the notes — keep them coming through Send feedback.
